This weekend, Lt. Governor Aiona was the featured speaker at the one-year anniversary celebration of an emergency shelter in Wai`anae for homeless families.
Lt. Governor Aiona helped officially open the Pai`olu Kaiaulu Transitional Homeless Shelter in March 2007.
Since then, the shelter has catered to homeless families who have been living on beaches and in parks along the Leeward Coast of O`ahu.
