Today, Lt. Governor Aiona visits Kaua`i to participate in the 42nd Annual Older American Recognition Ceremony. Organized by the County of Kaua`i Agency on Elderly Affairs, this year's event will honor 16 older Americans for their volunteer services across the island.

"Our state is blessed by our seniors," Lt. Governor Aiona said. "They teach us lessons of the past, set an example for younger generations, and demonstrate the generosity and love for which our residents are known. By treating older Kaua`i residents with the dignity and respect they deserve, we honor their legacy and contribution to our state."
