Lt. Governor Names Con Con Cost Task Force

 

Lt. Governor Aiona named 10 members on Tuesday who will serve with him on the task force created to study the costs of convening a convention to update the Hawai`i State Constitution. The group will convene its first public meeting this Friday at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.

 Fact of the Week
In 1997, the Hawai`i Supreme Court ruled in Hawai`i State AFL-CIO v. Yoshina that blank ballots must be counted as "no" votes, which will apply to ballots cast this November regarding whether voters decide to convene a constitutional convention.
