There has been a significant drop in treatment admissions for ice, from 3,538 in 2005 to 2,967 in 2008.

, Lt. Governor Aiona helps culminate the year-long commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Hawai`i statehood. As part of the effort, the 50th Anniversary of Statehood Commission will host a one-day conference, titled "New Horizons for the Next 50 years." The conference will bring Hawai`i residents together to reflect on the state's accomplishments over the past 50 years, and explore the vision for the next half century.
