The state Department of Transportation has launched the Freeway Service Patrol to help prevent traffic from backing up and causing longer commutes. The program calls for removing vehicles that breakdown on the highway.

July 4, Lt. Governor Aiona participates in the 63rd Annual Kailua Independence Day Parade.

July 6, The Lt. Governor discusses state issues on his weekly call-in radio show on KHVH 830 AM with host Mike Buck from 5 - 6 p.m. The show will be streamed live on the Lt. Governor's website.

July 11, Lt. Governor Aiona addresses the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce Annual Installation Banquet and general membership meeting.
