February 14 - Lt. Governor Aiona
joined Governor Lingle in announcing the nomination of Glenn J. Kim to the
Circuit Court of the First Circuit (O`ahu) and Mark E. Recktenwald as chief
judge of the Intermediate Court of Appeals. Governor Lingle selected Kim and
Recktenwald from two separate lists of six candidates each that were
submitted by the Judicial Selection Commission. Lt. Governor Aiona, a
former family court judge, participated in the interview and screening
process of the candidates. Kim's and Recktenwald's appointments are subject
to Senate confirmation. Watch the
