HOMEOWNERSHIP REGIONAL TRAINING ADDRESSES EDUCATION CLASSES
June 18 - Lt. Governor Aiona attended the Hawai`i Regional Homeownership
Training seminar hosted by the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) and
Neighborworks of America.
“The biggest investment that people will make in their lives is
buying a home,” said Lt. Governor Aiona.
The seminar’s goal was to increase training opportunities in order
to elevate and equalize homeownership program expertise in Hawai`i. As part
of the seminar, a survey was conducted of about 10 homeownership providers
in the state regarding what classes they believed were needed in order to
best serve their customers, which included additional training in credit
repair and foreclosure prevention.
