FRUITS AND VEGGIE'S CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCED
June 25- Lt. Governor Aiona and
officials from the Department of Health held a news conference Monday to
launch a 10-week statewide campaign aimed at developing good eating habits
in Hawai`i. The theme of the campaign is “Fruits and Veggies. Good
Choice!” It targets adults between the ages of 35 and 55 and promotes
eating one more serving of fruits and vegetables every day.
“This is the second step in our plan to help Hawai`i
live healthy,” said Lt. Governor Aiona. “By making good choices every day,
you can achieve success.”
“Fruits and Veggies. Good Choice!” is a component of
the Department of Health’s education campaign “Start Living Healthy,” which
encourages Hawai`i residents to eat healthy food, be more physically active
and live tobacco free. For more information, visit www.healthyhawaii.com.
