STATE KICKS OFF CAMPAIGN FOR ALOHA UNITED WAY

July 18- Lt. Governor Aiona today  launched the state's fund-raising campagin for Aloha United Way.

The goal for state employees this year is to raise $533,353 for charity, up from $512, 417 a year ago, Lt. Governor Aiona noted.

"This is more than raising money for an important organization," Lt. Governor Aiona said. "It's about transforming lives for the better."

More than 60 people turned out for the state's 2007 Aloha United Way Kick-Off event, held at Washington Place.
