HAWAI`I BUSINESS LEADERS HONORED

Continuing the Administration's support for small businesses and their role
in the community, Lt. Governor Aiona helped recognize companies and
organizations that are making a significant contribution to the economy and
charitable causes across Hawai`i.
The Lt. Governor closed the 2007 Business Leadership Hawai`i awards
banquet, which drew more than 900 people to the Hilton Hawaiian Village
Beach Resort & Spa in Waikiki.
In his remarks, the Lt. Governor acknowledged the Pacific Business News for
organizing the annual event that "honors achievers in business excellence."
He also congratulated the 30 finalists and six winners, including Hawai`i
Pacific Health CEO Chuck Sted, who was named business leader of the
year.
"The state is proud to have such outstanding companies and entrepreneurs,"
said Lt. Governor Aiona. "Our Administration is committed to helping
businesses prosper in Hawai`i."
