JULY 21, Lt. Governor Aiona addresses the East Honolulu Rotary about the importance of holding a Constitutional Convention in Hawai‘i. The Lt. Governor is currently chairing an 11-member non-partisan task force to study the costs of holding a convention to update the State Constitution.
JULY 23, The Lt. Governor opens discussions at the annual meeting for the Mental Health Transformation State Incentive Grant working group. The Administration is utilizing the grant to transform mental health services in Hawai‘i in order to provide the best mental health care possible.
JULY 24, Lt. Governor Aiona leads the fifth public meeting of the Constitutional Convention Cost Task Force. The Lt. Governor is currently chairing the 11-member non-partisan task force to study the costs of holding a convention to update the State Constitution. Lt. Governor Aiona launched a new web site to inform the public about a Hawai‘i Constitutional Convention at http://hawaii.gov/ltgov/concon.
JULY 27, Lt. Governor Aiona delivers a keynote address at the induction ceremony for the Big Island Sports Hall of Fame. Last year, the Lt. Governor’s father, James Aiona, Sr. was inducted, and this year, Pat Aiona, the Lt. Governor’s cousin, is slated for induction.
