Directory Information About Inmates

Under the UIPA, directory information concerning an individual's presence at any correctional facility
is specifically designated public information. The names and locations of inmates constitute directory
information, and an inmate's tentative release date would not be protected from disclosure under any
of the UIPA's exceptions.
