Overview
The ARRA funds received by the Department of Defense were directed first to Energy Savings and Management projects. Two thirds of the funds were directed to HVAC installation which included a energy management system along with the installation of a photovoltaic roof repair, both were on 100% Federal funded sites which required no State matching outlay. These pilot projects to reduce energy usage will be used as models for future repairs and minor construction projects for the department.
