Art & Story features students from Lana‘i High and Elementary School. Participants have the option to learn storytelling, a visual art medium, or both. Students work with a master storyteller from the University of Hawai‘i Outreach College and learn to perform selected stories garnered from their own experiences and family elders. The art component consists of students who have interpreted their stories visually, employing their choice of painting or photography. The project culminates with a performance and art exhibition at the Four Seasons Lodge at Koele. Cooperating partners include Lana‘i Art Center, University of Hawai‘i Outreach College, Lana‘i High and Elementrary School, and Four Seasons Resorts, Inc.
