Community Council on Health and Human Services

 

The community council, established under HRS Section 103F-202,  advises or assists the administrator of the State Procurement Office in various areas of planning and procuring of health and human services, i.e., business conditions facing providers, establishing schedules for planning and purchasing, identifying training needs of purchasing agencies and providers, and securing provider input and facilitating provider participation in the planning and procurement process.

The council is comprised of  one representative from each county except Kalawao and up to 5 members interested in health, human services, employment, or the provision of services to children and youth.  Members are appointed by the governor and serve for a term of 4 years.
