Hawai'i Tourism Authority and Mauna Loa Greet Visitors on Statehood Day

Honolulu, August 4, 2009 – Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co., one of Hawai'i's leading Macadamia Nut Companies for over 30 years, is commemorating Hawai'i's 50 years of Statehood by introducing a luxurious limited edition Statehood Deluxe Wholes Milk Chocolate box.

 

“We are excited to be able to celebrate Hawai'i's rich history and honor our islands’ unique culture by having a special commemorative box made especially for this momentous occasion,” stated Douglas Lee, General Manager for Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co. “It is an honor to be able to present this limited edition Statehood Box to the people of Hawai'i.” Specially designed for the five decade celebration of Statehood, the Deluxe Wholes Milk Chocolate box showcases a brand new look that incorporates the Hawaiian Flag, Hawai'i mountain range, renowned Hula dancer Janu Cassidy and decorative gold foiling. The limited edition Statehood box uses 100% Hawaiian Macadamia nuts and is only available in Hawai'i. A limited supply of boxes was produced at the Macadamia Nut processing plant in Hilo where it will be distributed to local retailers statewide.
