Chiarella, president of Al Chiarella, Inc., for failing to file the company's annual general excise tax returns for the years 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005.

HONOLULU - The State Department of Taxation announced today that the deadline to file net income tax returns may be extended from Monday, April 21, 2008 to Monday, October 20, 2008, if certain conditions are met.

In an effort to vigorously promote electronic filing, the State Department of Taxation has eliminated the $2.50 fee previously required when filing and making a payment electronically through the State's website.
